Our verdict
Caylent is one of the larger AWS-only consultancies, and it has rebuilt its delivery around AI agents and forward-deployed engineers. IDC rated it a Major Player among 27 cloud services vendors in September 2026, and it has worked with more than 1,500 customers since 2015. It suits a company committed to AWS that wants agentic AI or modernization work done fast, and it is less suited to a buyer on Azure or Google Cloud.
The right buyer
- Companies that run on AWS. It is an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner and Managed Services Provider with ten AWS Partner of the Year awards (IDC announcement).
- Engineering teams adopting Claude Code. Its engineers built an agentic development framework for Smarsh on Amazon Bedrock that freed up to $10 million in capacity in its first year (CRN).
- Modernization projects on a deadline. It reports up to 75% time savings on application modernization with its Caylent Accelerate agent system (IDC announcement).
Reasons to look elsewhere
- It works only on AWS, so multi-cloud or Azure buyers should look at broader integrators.
- IDC notes it is smaller in head count than diversified integrators (IDC announcement).
Caylent, At A High Level
Caylent describes itself as an AI-first AWS Premier Tier Services Partner, Anthropic Preferred Services Partner, and AWS Managed Services Provider that builds, runs, and evolves systems on AWS (IDC announcement). It has grown with companies modernizing on AWS since 2015 (IDC announcement).
- More than 1,500 customers across more than 3,500 engagements since 2015, with a 9+ CSAT and 75+ NPS it reports (IDC announcement).
- About 125 forward-deployed engineers, with 200 more architects and engineers to move into the role; its chief executive expects about a third of the company to fit that model (CRN).
- An estimated 1,000 employees, based on that ratio, and estimated annual revenue of $150 million to $200 million.
- Acquired Pronetx, an Amazon Connect specialist, in April 2026 (IDC announcement). In October 2026 ISG rated the combined team a Product Challenger in its Amazon Connect Ecosystem report, which surveyed more than 60 providers. Caylent says its contact center deployments range from 12 to more than 10,000 agents, and that these engagements are mostly fixed-price with defined outcomes (ISG announcement).
- Signed a multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement with AWS in June 2026 that funds work on agentic AI, managed services, and Amazon Connect projects (ISG announcement).
- Uses Anthropic’s Claude across its own work, from first customer conversations through delivery and project reviews, and also acquired the AWS consultancy Trek10. Henderson told Channel Insider in October 2026 that the firm has more open positions than ever (Channel Insider).
- Run by chief executive Valerie Henderson, with Randall Hunt as chief technology officer (about page).
Scores by criterion
We scored Caylent from its IDC announcement, its about page, and CRN coverage. Technical depth scores highest; platform independence and commercial clarity score lowest because it works only on AWS and publishes no rates.

What clients and leaders say
Caylent’s chief executive and analysts at IDC and ISG describe its model. One buyer concern is written from public facts about its AWS focus.
“Most likely, one-third of our organization will fit the FDE model in the next year. We want to walk the walk.”
“For buyers centered on AWS, that makes it a credible option for agentic work.”
“Caylent builds AWS-native from day one, with no proprietary lock-in and an AI-first approach.”
“I always tell our customers, give me your biggest skeptic. Let us sit with the person who is the most against making this change.”
“Their AWS depth was obvious, but part of our estate is on Azure, and that work went to another partner.”
