Our verdict
Koantek has worked only on Databricks since it started, and in June 2026 it won Databricks’ Lakebase Partner of the Year award for a set of starter kits that turn Databricks Apps and Lakebase into governed business applications. It suits an enterprise that has chosen Databricks and wants a specialist team to migrate onto it, then build agents and data apps there, and it is less suited to a buyer still deciding between data platforms.
The right buyer
- Companies moving to Databricks from Snowflake, Hadoop, or a legacy warehouse. In June 2026 Databricks gave it a Migrate and Modernize specialization for Snowflake migrations (Koantek on LinkedIn).
- Teams building operational apps and agent memory on Databricks. Its Ascend AI AppBase kits won the 2026 Lakebase award (Databricks).
- Buyers who want a large offshore bench. About 79% of its roughly 395 staff are in South Asia (Revelio Labs).
Reasons to look elsewhere
- It works only on Databricks, so a buyer who wants advice across Snowflake, Fabric, and BigQuery should look elsewhere.
- Most of its people are in India, so a buyer who needs a large onshore US team should check the staffing plan.

Where Koantek fits
Koantek is used by enterprises that have standardized on Databricks and want a partner to move data onto it and then build on it. On price it sits in the offshore-weighted specialist tier, below US onshore consultancies. Competitors on this site include Aimpoint Digital and v4c.ai for Databricks-focused work, phData for platform consulting at a larger scale, and Entrada for a smaller Databricks pure play.

| Choosing between data platforms | Weak | It works only on Databricks. |
| An onshore US delivery team | Good | About a fifth of its staff are in North America. |
