Our verdict
MindTitan has delivered more than 150 AI projects in over 20 countries and helped write Estonia’s national AI strategy, and it has been profitable in every one of its seven published financial years (homepage; about page; company record). It suits a Nordic or Baltic company, or a public body, that wants a small senior team to build one well-defined AI system, and it is less suited to a buyer that needs a large team or many parallel projects.
The right buyer
- Telecoms and customer service teams. Since 2017 it has run Annika, a customer service bot for the telecom group Elisa that handles up to 70% of inbound contacts (Elisa case).
- Estonian public bodies. It has won 18 public contracts worth about €948,000 (about $1.05 million) from five authorities since November 2023 (company record).
- Companies with an AI idea that still needs testing. It offers AI strategy work, feasibility checks, and workshops before a full build (homepage).
Reasons to look elsewhere
- With about 14 staff, it can run only a few large projects at once.
- Its quarterly turnover fell 28% year over year in the third quarter of 2026, and it had 14 staff in that quarter, down from 19 in early 2025.
MindTitan, At A High Level
MindTitan grew out of Ajujaht, Estonia’s largest startup competition, where its founders entered MARKUS, an AI system that estimates a person’s age from video and checks it against an ID card (about page). Kristjan Jansons, a former autonomous vehicle team lead at Milrem Robotics, is its co-founder and chief executive, and Robert Roosalu, a former data scientist at the STACC research center, is co-founder and chief technology officer (about page).
- Registered at Võru 154b in Tartu, Estonia, since October 2016 (company record).
- Revenue of €1.50 million (about $1.7 million) and a net profit of €397,000 in 2025, with 14 employees; revenue has grown about 11% a year on average since 2019 (company record).
- Services cover custom AI solutions, natural language processing, computer vision, data engineering, AI strategy, and AI workshops (homepage).
- Published cases include ATM cash forecasting for Hansab, cemetery mapping with computer vision, a recommendation system for Soulie, and power line inspection for Hepta Airborne (case studies).

Where MindTitan fits
MindTitan is used by Estonian and Nordic companies, startups, and public bodies that want a compact team of machine learning engineers to take one AI idea from feasibility to production. On price it sits at the lower end of European AI consultancies, reflecting Estonian costs. Competitors on this site include DataRoot Labs and InData Labs for small Eastern European AI teams, and ML6 for larger European AI engineering programs.
| Need | Fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A customer service chatbot | Strong | Its Elisa bot handles up to 70% of inbound contacts. |
| Computer vision on images or video | Good | It has built power line inspection, cemetery mapping, and test-cassette reading systems. |
| An AI program across a large enterprise | Weak | Its team of about 14 is small for that scale. |
| Public sector AI work in Estonia | Strong | It has won 18 public contracts and advised on the national AI strategy. |
