Balázs Keszthelyi is the founder and chief executive of TechnoLynx, the Budapest production-AI firm he started in 2019 after years of GPU, video, and deep-learning R&D in Cambridge and London (TechnoLynx).
GPU and standards work
He has programmed since age 14 and is a co-inventor on more than 10 patent applications, a participant in the Khronos OpenCL and SYCL working groups, and is listed as a contributor to the SYCL specification (team page). Earlier he was lead programmer of CLBenchmark, later CompuBench CL, a cross-vendor OpenCL benchmark built on the idea of one instrument run on everybody’s hardware with the method written down (team page).
From Broadcom and V-Nova to Budapest
His path ran through 3D graphics, physical simulation, GPU programming, image and video compression, and deep learning, including work on Broadcom GPU IP in Cambridge and a role as Head of Advanced R&D at V-Nova in London before he returned to build TechnoLynx in Budapest (team page).
At TechnoLynx he sells fixed-scope production AI packs instead of open-ended engineering rental, and the firm also makes LynxBenchAI, continuing his benchmark-first habit (homepage).
