David Fussichen is the founder of Analytics8, an AI development, implementation and consulting firm in Chicago, Illinois, which he led as chief executive for about two decades until Tom Munley succeeded him in December 2025. An industrial and systems engineering alumnus of Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, he is known for building the US firm from a one-person company.
From Agile Analytics to Analytics8
He started a one-person company called Agile Analytics in 2003, merged it with Analytics8 Australia in 2005, bought out that partnership in 2018 and then acquired other businesses and expanded into other countries (Analytics8). The aim, he said in 2023, was “to provide practical, straightforward solutions rooted in business fundamentals that can stand the test of time.” He returned to Ohio State that November to speak in its BuckISE leadership series (Ohio State). When Munley took over, Built In Chicago described him as the founder who had led the company for two decades.
