Jarvy Sanchez is co-founder and chief technology officer of Leanware, an AI development, implementation and consulting firm he started in Bogotá, Colombia, in February 2020 with Carlos Martinez. He is known for the quality processes behind Leanware’s roughly 50-person team, including automated testing in every workflow and an in-house framework for AI-assisted development.
Meeting Carlos Martinez at an IIoT Company
He met Martinez at an industrial internet of things platform company, where Martinez was his boss, he told CanvasRebel in 2025. “We both believed that technology should adapt to people, not the other way around,” he said. The two often talked about how they would run a company, and just before the pandemic they started Leanware with only themselves as developers. When the pandemic ended their first projects, they found clients in the US and Canada, which became the firm’s main market.
Keeping the Quality Bar as the Team Grew
Early growth came from referrals, and the hard part was keeping quality, communication and delivery consistent as more developers joined. He describes adding structured quality assurance, communication frameworks and delivery tracking, and says Leanware’s AI integration framework has raised productivity by more than 40%. “Scaling isn’t a destination,” he told CanvasRebel, but an ongoing commitment to quality as the work gets more complex.
