Pavel Kirillov is co-founder and chief technology officer of NineTwoThree AI Studio, an AI development, implementation and consulting firm in Danvers, Massachusetts. He is a systems engineer who moved to the Boston, Massachusetts, area from Israel and built the first apps behind the company with his co-founder, Andrew Amann.
From Israel to Boston
He had tried to build five startups with friends and colleagues before moving to the United States with his wife to join Profitect, a fast-growing Boston company, where he worked on the data integration engine it built for retailers such as Home Depot and Abercrombie & Fitch (NineTwoThree).
In March 2013 he met Amann at a startup event where Amann was handing out flyers looking for a developer. A .NET developer by background, he taught himself Android development, backend work and cloud deployment to build their app, Inigo, and he was the first of the two to quit his job to work on it full time. When Inigo’s assets were sold in September 2017 and the business they had built alongside it needed a new name, he suggested naming it for the hours they had worked, 9 p.m. to 3 a.m., and it became NineTwoThree.
