Trey Roldan is the founder and CEO of Entrada, the Databricks consulting firm he started in San Francisco, California, in 2023 after 21 years in enterprise technology sales, go-to-market, and revenue leadership (treyroldan.com; Entrada on LinkedIn).
Two decades in enterprise sales
Roldan calls himself a builder: “Companies, teams, infrastructure, things that work. I’ve been doing it for two decades and I still get the same kick out of it” (treyroldan.com). He served as a chief revenue officer and a chief commercial officer and built sales organizations from scratch, but he says his passion “has always been building services companies” (treyroldan.com). He studied at the University of San Francisco and sits on its Entrepreneurship and Innovation Advisory Board, which is helping build a $50 million incubator fund for student startups (treyroldan.com).
Founding Entrada
He started Entrada with Carley Donovan, now its COO (Entrada). Early on he described its goal as simplifying the customer journey of adopting AI and modern data technology, paired with industry expertise (Entrada). After Entrada won Databricks’ 2026 Genie Partner of the Year award, he argued that the hard part of enterprise AI is context: “the trusted, governed business data that lets AI deliver accurate answers in production” (PR Newswire).
