Our verdict

RapidCanvas sells custom AI the way a software company sells a subscription: its field engineers build the application on RapidCanvas’s own platform and stay responsible for results after launch. It raised a $29 million Series B in October 2026 after an eightfold rise in recurring revenue over six quarters. It suits a company with $100 million to $10 billion in revenue that wants AI in production without hiring a data science team, and it is less suited to a buyer who wants code that runs free of any vendor platform.

The right buyer

  • Mid-size and large companies without an in-house AI team. RapidCanvas aims at companies with $100 million to $10 billion in revenue that have AI budgets but no proven path to results (Series B announcement).
  • Manufacturers and industrial OEMs. In October 2026 it bought Entytle, whose agents find aftermarket revenue for OEMs such as Baker Hughes and Veolia (Entytle announcement).
  • Buyers who want a subscription in place of a large services bill. It offers its platform and engineers at subscription pricing (Series B announcement).

Reasons to look elsewhere

  • Applications run on RapidCanvas’s own platform, so leaving it later means rebuilding.
  • It has about 100 people, so very large programs may outgrow its engineering bench.

RapidCanvas, At A High Level

RapidCanvas calls itself a managed AI execution company. Its platform has three parts: an Enterprise Context Engine that records how a business process runs, a Visual Development Canvas where engineers build applications from a library of tested skills, and an Operational Harness that monitors applications in production (Series B announcement). Rahul Pangam and Uttam Phalnikar founded it in 2021 (company page); they earlier built Simility, a fraud platform PayPal acquired (Series A announcement).

  • Offices in Austin, Texas; Hyderabad, India; and São José dos Campos, Brazil, with around a hundred people (company page).
  • Has raised $52.5 million, including a $29 million Series B led by Vertex Ventures SEA and India with Hitachi Ventures in October 2026 (Series B announcement).
  • More than 75 enterprises made 1.4 million AI-led decisions with its applications in 2026, and more than 40% of customers run several use cases (Series B announcement).
  • Estimated annual revenue of $10 million to $15 million, based on about 100 staff.

Where RapidCanvas fits

RapidCanvas is used by mid-size and large companies, many in manufacturing and finance, that want a working AI application and someone to run it, without building a data science team. On price it presents itself as a cheaper option than large services firms, sold as a subscription. Competitors on this site include AuxoAI for embedded enterprise teams, Markovate for custom AI builds, and HatchWorks AI for agent development.

What clients and leaders say

RapidCanvas’s chief executive and lead investor describe its model in the Series B announcement. One buyer concern is written from public facts about its platform.

“Vibe coding has made it easy to start building with AI. Getting AI into production reliably and safely still remains the biggest gap.”

“The proof is in the customer pull: enterprises keep expanding into new use cases and functions.”

“The subscription made budgeting easy, but everything we built lives on their platform, so moving off it would be a real project.”
