Our verdict
Robots & Pencils is an AI development, implementation and consulting firm that began in 2009 as a mobile app developer (Robots & Pencils). Clutch lists its headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, and its site names offices in Bellevue, Washington; Calgary and Toronto, Canada; Bogotá, Colombia; and Lviv, Ukraine. Len Pagon Jr. is chief executive.
The firm now builds generative and agentic AI systems on AWS, using Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore, and opened an innovation center in Bellevue in January 2026. It offers a starting engagement it calls the Sharpening Sprint. In December 2025 AWS picked it as one of 11 partners for its new Pattern Partner program, and in February 2026 it reached AWS Advanced Tier status (Robots & Pencils). The company says it has launched more than 300 apps and built the first mobile-only bank in the US.
For an enterprise committed to AWS that wants a smaller alternative to a global systems integrator, Robots & Pencils offers close AWS ties and a long product delivery record.
The right buyer
- Enterprises committed to AWS that want a smaller alternative to a global systems integrator.
- Buyers building agentic systems on Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore.
- Teams that want to start with a defined planning engagement, the Sharpening Sprint.
Reasons to look elsewhere
- Its AI offer centers on AWS, so it is a weaker fit for companies on Azure or Google Cloud.
- We found only three client reviews on Clutch and no named recent AI client work.
- One Clutch reviewer said the firm staffed the start of a project with contractors new to the company.
