Mario Tucci is a co-founder of Arionkoder, an AI development, implementation and consulting firm with offices in Boston, Massachusetts; Miami, Florida; and Montevideo, Uruguay, that he started with Martin Bouza. Based in Boston, he brings more than 30 years in corporate technology and as a founder, including MVD Consulting, and has served as Arionkoder’s chief revenue officer.
Three Decades in Uruguay, Argentina and the US
He has worked in Uruguay, Argentina and the United States, he told the Uruguayan business magazine Hacer Empresa in 2022. On LinkedIn he says he co-founded Arionkoder in Boston in 2020 to bring that experience and hundreds of past clients into a boutique firm that helps companies plan and build product design, AI and staff augmentation work. Arionkoder’s staff augmentation page signs off with his name as chief revenue officer and co-founder.
A Positive No and a Team That Owns the Result
In the Hacer Empresa interview he described asking Arionkoder’s engineers to push back on clients when they see a better way to do something, a “positive no” that he sees as the root of innovation, and dropping work that succeeds but cannot scale. He said the first mistake new leaders make is underestimating the team, that when results do not come a leader should look at himself first, and that anyone who works for the boss is a manager, not a leader.
