Shri Bhupathi is a founder and the CEO of MILL5, the Boston, Massachusetts, AI and software consulting firm, and a former solutions architect and algo and quant specialist who spent years building systems for banks, asset managers, and medical device makers (MILL5).
From Computer Science in San Diego to Boston Finance
Bhupathi earned a B.S. in computer science at the University of California San Diego (MILL5). He went on to work as a solutions architect and algo and quant specialist across healthcare, medical device manufacturing, banking, capital markets, and telecommunications, for companies including Bank of New York Mellon, State Street, John Hancock, Olympus Corporation, and Eversource, the utility formerly known as NSTAR (MILL5).
Founding MILL5 with Richard Crane
In 2015 he and Richard Crane founded MILL5, which builds AI and machine learning, data, IoT, cloud, and custom software systems and runs them after launch (MILL5 on LinkedIn). One of his earlier clients, Olympus, became the firm’s showcase: MILL5 added AI to its smart operating room software across more than 3,000 operating rooms (MILL5).
