Consulting was at first the “thing I’d do until I figured out what I wanted to do next,” Tony Aug told Shoutout Colorado (Shoutout Colorado). He is the chief executive and a co-founder of Nimble Gravity, a data and AI consultancy in Denver, Colorado.
Engineering and Digital Leadership
He grew up in a family of educators (Rallyday Partners), and earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado (About page).
He was vice president of IT at Sanmina and co-founded TimZon, a live chat software company now called SnapEngage. As CTO of Digital at Arrow Electronics, a Fortune 100 distributor, he worked on its acquisition strategy and integration teams (About page).
He credits Vin Melvin, whom he worked for or with for more than 15 years at companies where Melvin was CIO, as a boss and mentor. “Much of my own leadership style comes from things that I observed in and learned from Vin,” he said (Shoutout Colorado).
Co-founding Nimble Gravity
He co-founded the firm in 2019 with Joe Ackert, who had helped build a business-to-business marketplace that was sold to Arrow Electronics (About page). As early clients came in, they asked former colleagues to join, and he says that is how the company went from a lifestyle business to a real one (Shoutout Colorado).
Under his leadership the firm bought mDEVZ in Argentina, iGerencia in Colombia, and, in August 2025, Fog Solutions, a US data and AI firm, bringing it to about 250 people. “With the addition of Fog Solutions, Nimble Gravity is better positioned to help clients unlock the full value of their data, from helping define their data and AI strategy through execution,” he said (acquisition announcement).
