AI Consulting Pricing Models 2026
Published October 28, 2026
Our analysts reviewed the pricing information for all 56 AI development and consulting firms we review, from the firms’ own websites and outside listings collected in October 2026, to show how AI consulting work is priced as of Q4 2026: by the hour, by minimum budget, by fixed scope, or by outcome.
Key Findings
- 23 of the 56 firms (41%) have a public hourly rate band, and 12 of those 23 fall in the $50 to $99 band.
- 14 of the 56 firms (25%) publish no rate, minimum, or pricing terms of any kind.
- 18 firms state a minimum project size, from $5,000 to $100,000, and 9 of the 18 set it at $50,000 or more.
- 5 of the 11 US-headquartered firms with a rate band charge $100 or more an hour, compared with 2 of the 8 firms based in Poland.
- 10 firms offer fixed-price, fixed-scope, or outcome-linked terms, and 4 of them tie fees to milestones or results.
Most AI firms do not post a price list. A buyer usually hears a number only after a discovery call, and the number can come in very different forms: an hourly rate, a minimum budget, a fixed fee for a short scoped project, or a fee tied to results. That makes two quotes hard to compare, and it leaves first-time buyers guessing whether a proposal is high or low. The firms do leave clues, on their own sites and in the profiles they keep on review platforms. But those clues are scattered.
We recorded the most specific pricing information each firm makes public: an hourly rate range, a day rate, a minimum project size, fixed-price or outcome terms, or only an engagement model. For hourly bands we used each firm’s headquarters country, and for the 12 firms with both a rate band and a minimum we worked out how many hours the minimum buys.
In the following sections, we compare what pricing information the firms publish, hourly rate bands by headquarters country, minimum project sizes and what they buy, and the fixed-scope and outcome-linked offers some firms sell.
Fewer Than Half of Reviewed AI Firms Publish an Hourly Rate
Before comparing prices, it helps to know how much pricing information exists at all. We placed each of the 56 firms in one group, based on the most specific pricing information it makes public.
| Pricing information | What the firm makes public | Firms | Share of firms | Examples |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hourly rate band | An hourly rate range, with or without a minimum project size | 23 | 41% | 10Clouds, 10Pearls, Appsilon, Arionkoder, and 19 others |
| Minimum project size only | A minimum budget, with no hourly rate | 6 | 11% | Analytics8, InData Labs, KUNGFU.AI, Markovate, and 2 others |
| Fixed-price or outcome terms only | Fixed-price, fixed-scope, or outcome-linked terms, with no rate or minimum | 7 | 13% | 7T, Blue Orange Digital, Distyl AI, Fusemachines, and 3 others |
| Engagement model only | How it staffs work (dedicated team, staff augmentation, or project), with no prices | 5 | 9% | Azumo, Enthought, Mosaic Data Science, Muttdata, and 1 others |
| Day rates | A day rate by role | 1 | 2% | Advancing Analytics |
| No pricing information | No prices, minimums, or pricing terms | 14 | 25% | AE Studio, Aimpoint Digital, Cognida.ai, deepsense.ai, and 10 others |

Key Findings
- The hourly band is the most common kind of pricing information, at 23 firms. Another 6 firms give only a minimum budget, and Advancing Analytics is the only firm with day rates, of about $1,200 to $4,000 by role on the UK government’s G-Cloud framework.
- A quarter of the firms, 14 of 56, publish nothing on price. They include some of the highest-scoring firms we review, such as Loka, deepsense.ai, and Aimpoint Digital, so a missing price is not a sign of a weak firm.
- Of the 56 firms, 37 publish a rate, a minimum, or pricing terms. For the other 19, the first call is the only way to learn the price, so a buyer can ask for a rate range or a minimum before booking it.
Most Published AI Firm Rates Fall Between $50 and $99 an Hour
Hourly rates are the easiest prices to compare across firms. We grouped the 23 firms with a published band by rate and by the country where each firm is headquartered.
| Hourly rate band | United States | Poland | Ukraine | United Kingdom | Not stated | All firms |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25 to $49 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 3 |
| $50 to $99 | 4 | 6 | 1 | 0 | 1 | 12 |
| $100 to $149 | 4 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 6 |
| $150 to $199 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 1 |
| $200 to $300 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1 |
| All bands | 11 | 8 | 2 | 1 | 1 | 23 |

Key Findings
- The $50 to $99 band holds 12 of the 23 firms, including six of the eight firms based in Poland, such as STX Next, Monterail, and Sunscrapers.
- US firms spread across every band but one. Five of the 11 charge $100 or more, and Xyonix, at $200 to $300, has the highest band. Two US firms, 10Pearls and Intuz, list $25 to $49, and both run engineering offices in Latin America, Pakistan, or India.
- Only 2 of the 23 bands reach $150 or more an hour. Federal contracts put the median ceiling for AI and machine learning labor at $183.05 an hour, as our AI consulting hourly rates study found, so the private firms here mostly price below that federal benchmark.
Minimum Project Sizes Run From $5,000 to $100,000
A minimum project size tells a buyer the smallest engagement a firm will take on. We listed the 18 firms that state a minimum, then, for the 12 that also have a rate band, divided the minimum by the middle of the band to see how much work it covers.
| Minimum project size | Firms | Firm names |
|---|---|---|
| $5,000 | 1 | Xyonix |
| $10,000 | 3 | Arionkoder, InData Labs, and Vstorm |
| $25,000 | 5 | 10Clouds, Brainpool AI, HatchWorks AI, Miquido, and Robots & Pencils |
| $50,000 | 5 | 10Pearls, BairesDev, Markovate, Rootstrap, and Synaptiq |
| $75,000 | 2 | Analytics8 and BlueLabel |
| $100,000 | 2 | KUNGFU.AI and NineTwoThree AI Studio |

Key Findings
- Half of the 18 minimums, 9 firms, are $50,000 or more, and KUNGFU.AI and NineTwoThree AI Studio start at $100,000. At the low end, Xyonix takes projects from $5,000.
- A higher rate does not mean a higher minimum. Xyonix has the highest band and the lowest minimum, which covers about 20 hours, while 10Pearls has the lowest band and a $50,000 minimum that covers about 1,351 hours, or roughly 34 weeks of one full-time person.
- For a small pilot, the minimum often limits a buyer more than the rate does. A team with $25,000 to spend can afford about 8 weeks of one person at a $50 to $99 firm, but cannot hire a firm whose minimum is $50,000 or more.
Ten AI Firms Sell Fixed-Scope or Outcome-Linked Work
Some firms quote a fixed price or tie their fee to results, which shifts more of the risk from the buyer to the firm. We recorded the terms each firm publishes and counted every pricing term across all 56 firms.
| Firm | Published terms | Pricing basis | Stated duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7T | Fixed cost on most AI projects | Fixed price | Not published |
| Blue Orange Digital | Fixed price by stage; assessment from $25,000 to $50,000 | Fixed price | Not published |
| Fusemachines | Fixed-scope AI and data assessment | Fixed scope | Not published |
| Leanware | Fixed-fee discovery sprint, then milestone billing | Fixed fee, then milestones | Not published |
| Master of Code Global | AI Compass Sprint and AI Pilot with a fixed budget | Fixed budget | 4 weeks; 30 days |
| InData Labs | Time and materials or fixed price; $10,000 minimum | Fixed price or time and materials | Not published |
| Monterail | Some fixed-price projects alongside hourly work | Fixed price on some projects | Not published |
| Distyl AI | Fees linked to outcomes | Outcome-linked | Not published |
| Hang Ten Systems | Outcome-based fee agreed before work starts | Outcome-linked | Not published |
| Provectus | Milestone-based, outcome-linked contracts | Outcome-linked milestones | Not published |

Key Findings
- Seven firms sell fixed-price or fixed-scope work, often as a short first step. Master of Code Global sells a four-week AI Compass Sprint and a 30-day AI Pilot with a fixed budget, and Blue Orange Digital prices an assessment at $25,000 to $50,000.
- Four firms link fees to milestones or outcomes: Distyl AI, Hang Ten Systems, Provectus, and Leanware, which bills by milestone after a fixed-fee discovery sprint. None of the four publishes an hourly rate.
- Fixed-scope offers give a buyer a known cost for a first project, and outcome terms tie the firm’s fee to what the work delivers. Both are still uncommon, at 10 of 56 firms, so buyers who want that structure will usually need to ask for it.
What AI Consulting Pricing Models Mean for Buyers
For most buyers, the price of AI consulting comes down to the hourly rate and the smallest project a firm will accept, and the second number often decides more. A small company with a pilot budget can be priced out by a $50,000 minimum before the hourly rate comes into play.
Published rates and minimums describe where a project starts. The final bill depends on team size, duration, and how much of the work the client’s own staff can take on, which is why two firms with the same band can quote very different totals.
So if you are budgeting for an AI project, ask each firm for its hourly band and minimum project size first, and compare the hours each minimum buys.
Data Collection and Methodology
The study covers the 56 firms reviewed on AI Services Companies as of October 28, 2026. For each firm we recorded the pricing information shown in its review, which draws on the firm’s own website, its published service offers, government framework listings, and the profiles it keeps on third-party review platforms. Rates and minimums from those outside listings are ranges the firms select, not invoices.
Each firm is placed in one group by the most specific pricing information it makes public, in this order: hourly rate band, day rates, minimum project size, fixed-price or outcome terms, engagement model, and none. The pricing terms chart counts every term a firm publishes, so a firm can appear in more than one row. Seven firms have fixed-price or fixed-scope terms and four have outcome or milestone terms, and Leanware is counted in both, so 10 firms have at least one of them.
Hourly bands use the range shown for each firm. The band midpoint is the average of its low and high ends, and Xyonix’s $200 to $300 band has a midpoint of $250. A minimum shown as, for example, $25,000+ is counted at its stated floor. Headquarters country is the first headquarters each firm lists. Master of Code Global does not state a headquarters, so it is shown as not stated. We calculated products, differences, and ratios from the published values. Hours at midpoint divide the minimum by the band midpoint, and weeks assume 40 hours a week. All prices are in US dollars as shown in each review, and Advancing Analytics’ day rates are the US dollar figures in its review.
